Who is Nate Freeman?
Nathan
C. Freeman of Northfield, Washington County, was born in Montpelier,
Vermont on July 31, 1968. He is a full-time single father of two
children, Amara Zell Freeman and Lydia Iris Freeman. Family
At
the age of 32 Nate married and had his first daughter, Amara. Eighteen
months later, Lydia was born, and Nate became primary care provider for
both girls. In 2003, he divorced and became a single full-time parent
while working full-time. Nate's commitment to his own children extends
to his desire to help all Vermont children realize new opportunities
which will help them navigate in more challenging environments in the
years to come.
Education
Nate
holds a BA from the University of Vermont in English with a minor in anthropology. In the final semesters of his undergraduate program Nate
participated in the core courses of UVM's Masters of Public
Administration program alongside professional state administrators.
From
2004 into 2005, Nate pursued professional study and formal testing in
insurance, investments and investment law. Nate successfully passed
the Series 7, Series 66, Series 63 and Life and Health Insurance exams
while
earning an Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation.
Simultaneously, Nate pursued self-education in the field of Captive
Insurance and studied the Delaware Dynasty Trust through articles and
lecture notes provided by the leading U.S. attorney in this area of
practice, Richard W. Nenno of Wilmington Trust.
